China stocks were mixed on Friday amid lighter volume, as blue chip nameswere under extended corrections after a lower open, while mid and small capnames rallied with signs of restoration of market sentiment.

    Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference opens in Beijing today. TheNational People ’ s Congress commences Sunday with Premier Li Keqiangdelivering proposed key economic targets for the year. Many investors tend topocket their money in short term with liquidity concerns raised on expectedreform and regulations.

    Shanghai Composite fell 0.36% to 3218.31, down 1.08 percent for the week,snapping a 3-week winning streak. Shenzhen Component rallied 0.29% to10397.05. ChiNext Index climbed 0.41% to 1928.29. Market volume totaledRMB 449.56 billion (USD 65.17 billion), shrinking 7.6% from last session.

    Winners outnumbered losers by 1546-to-1247.
