China Healthcare:More air-cleaning policy on drug-makers
On 6Nov 2017, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology(工业和信息化部办公厅) jointly announced with other government departmentsthat, it will enforce the pollution control on volatile organic compounds (VOC) fromthe bulk medicine work of the drug-makers. Certain of these drug-makers will berequired to stop their production from 15Nov 2017to 15Mar 2018. While thesedepartments are Ministry of Environmental and Protection (环境保护部办公厅),National Health and Family Planning Commission (卫生和计划生育委员会办公厅)and China Food and Drug Administration (食品药品监管总局办公厅). This actionwork covers Beijing, Tianjin and 26other cities in the smog-plagued provinces ofHebei, Shanxi, Shandong, and Henan, collectively known as “2+26” cities.
These government departments will collaborate to help the drug-makers on thesolutions of pollution for their bulk medicine work, including production, producttypes and capacity work. This will also involve more active surveillance on drugmakers’production in these 28cities of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surroundingareas.
Similar measures have also been implemented in other sectors such as cement, forexample, in Shandong province.
